Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau's interactive training and development program is structured in two levels: The first is the Akamai (specialist) course, a half-day seminar that focuses on the unique aspects of what Hawai'i has to offer, with a strong emphasis on geography, history, culture, resort areas and activities.

The second step is the Loea (advanced specialist) course, an intensive training seminar that emphasizes an in-depth understanding of the destination and its six major Islands, including insider tips that enhance the visitor's vacation experience.
